Digital Heroes
TalkTalk’s search for the nation’s Digital Heroes has discovered three worthy local candidates, who will now go head to head to win a £5,000 technology grant to help further their cause. And from today people in Darlington are being urged to vote for their favourite local Digital Hero at http://www.talktalk.co.uk/digitalheroes/
The nominee hero in Darlington is Jean Raby who works for Age UK Darlington, which strives to improve the quality of life of older people in the area. The charity currently supports 165 voluntary ‘befrienders’, who help the older and often isolated members of the community. There is potential to expand the scheme, given more resources and more young people willing to give their time.
Please click the link below and visit the North East page to vote for us.
